BridgeSuite - Learning Management System
A fully custom Learning Management System designed to deliver flexible, role-based learning experiences for organizations, educators, and students.
The Challenge
BridgeSuite LMS was created as a tailored educational platform designed to meet the complex needs of training programs across industries. The client approached us with a clear desire for a structured system, but only a loosely defined sense of the actual feature set. While they knew they needed a system that supported students, educators, and admins alike, their functional requirements were fragmented across various documents and conversations.
To bring this product to life, we began by benchmarking key competitors and industry leaders, identifying the most valuable features and usability patterns. From there, we transformed those insights into a fully documented requirements set, supported by user stories that mapped directly to user goals. Each portal—Student, Educator, and Admin—was designed to align with the unique needs and workflows of its respective user type.
The project team included:
Kevin Cornett, Solutions Architecture Lead, who led the initial architectural planning and helped define the structural approach for all three portals.
Myself (Sr. UI/UX Designer), who led research, created detailed wireframes for each portal, and refined the UI design to ensure clarity, usability, and a cohesive experience across the entire platform.
Daniel Picklo, Sr. Developer, who led product development, translating designs into a functional and scalable platform.
Justine Dolorfino-Thieman, Sr. Manager of Technical Services, who oversaw the project timeline, kept the cross-functional team on track, and managed client expectations throughout.
Connie Asawacharoenkun, Jr. UI/UX Designer, who iterated on the first version of BridgeSuite LMS shipped to a client and created the user flow for the Quiz Builder.

Strategy & UX Decisions
We approached the LMS with a strategy centered around clarity, customization, and role-specific functionality. Each portal was mapped from scratch, aligning system capabilities to user goals in a way that supported ongoing learning, curriculum development, and system oversight.
Our framework ensured all user types could interact with the platform meaningfully—whether they were learning, teaching, or managing.
Key UX decisions included:
Three Distinct Portals: Learners, Educators, and Admins each received a tailored interface, reducing complexity and surfacing only relevant tools.
Curriculum & Course Builders: Editors could create multi-level educational structures—from curricula to lessons—with embedded quizzes and resources.
Progress Tracking: Students could monitor their advancement through modules, while educators and admins had visibility into performance analytics.
Permission Control: User access was aligned with responsibilities, supporting everything from basic learning to full platform administration.
Unified Navigation: Despite differences in role views, the platform maintained a consistent, clean navigation model across all portals.
The Outcome
BridgeSuite LMS has become a cornerstone product for organizations seeking a customizable and scalable learning platform. It provides a structured learning experience for students, a flexible content authoring system for educators, and powerful administrative controls for platform management.
The system is actively used across multiple client implementations and has proven valuable in professional development programs, onboarding systems, and member education platforms. Its modular design allows it to scale for teams large and small, adapting to industry-specific needs while maintaining a consistent and accessible user experience. The LMS continues to generate positive feedback from clients and is one of our strongest full-suite builds to date.
